Values are principles that guide behaviour and learning. At Hounslow Heath Junior School all members of the school community are encouraged to model these values and use time for reflective practice. We believe that this empowers individuals to be effective learners and good citizens.
A comprehensive programme of class-based activities, assemblies and events promote children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, enabling them to develop their own moral and ethical compass, to make good decisions and have a positive impact on communities.
Our curriculum addresses social and emotional development that links cognitive learning, positive psychology and mindful awareness. Pupils learn about the brain, their emotions and the benefits of reflective practices resulting in self-regulation of behaviour and the ability to mindfully engage in focused concentration required for achievement.
